EARLY YEARS
Born April 26, 1974 in Long Beach, California, United States, Greg Laswell began writing and recording his own material in his early twenties. His self-funded debut, Good Movie (2003), won the San Diego Music Award for Best Local Recording.
CAREER
Across 15 albums and EPs, Laswell’s work has appeared in dozens of television and film placements — most prominently Grey’s Anatomy, One Tree Hill, and Bones — earning him a reputation as a quietly reliable name in the modern singer-songwriter idiom. His sound trades on understatement: piano-led arrangements, weathered vocals, lyrics about loss and recovery delivered without ornament.
